Tien La Temple, located in Doan Hung commune - Hung Ha district, is dedicated General Bat Nan, a female general who fought the Han Chinese invaders under the leadership of the two Trung sisters. Bat Nan was knighted as Grand General Dong Nhung for her achievement of defeating the enemy. Having an area of about 4.000m2, undergoing many renovations, the temple now has a great, magnificent scale and the beauty of both terrain and construction shape. The furniture was elaborately carved and interwove traditional classic manner representing "Long - Lan - Quy - Phuong" (Dragon - Unicorn - Turtle - Phoenix The four sacred creatures in Vietnamese belief) with “Tung - Cuc - Truc - Mai” (the Four Noble Ones including Spruce, Chrysanthemum, Bamboo and Plum). At present, the temple still retains several worship offerings dating from the Tran, Le dynasty.
